ADME Studies-in vivo

In vivo ADMET studies are routinely performed at JOINN in rat, dog , mini-pig and NHPs for small molecular chemicals, large molecular entity and cell therapeutic and gene therapeutic candidates. All other animal species can be considered. Studies can be performed using all common routes of administration, and LC-MS/MS, RT-PCR, ELISA and radiolabeling (Iodine-125) are routinely used in these studies. In vivo ADME studies offered by JOINN include (but are not limited to):

Mass-balance Studies

 sampling of urine, faeces, volatiles, cage-wash, tissues, organs and remaining carcass

 suitable caging for long-term studies for rats as well as large animals using labelled and unlabelled material

 including in vivo dermal absorption studies in rats

Quantitative Tissue Distribution Studies

 QWBA

 Traditional method:tissue dissection, total radioactivity determination, LC-MS-MS/QPCR

Biliary Excretion

 species: rat

 cannulation model with tail-cuff technique

Metabolite Profiling and Identification

 LC-MS(n) analysis

 urine/faeces/plasma/bile samples
