Obituary

Former vice director of Chinese pharmacology, toxicology; director of the professional committee members; national military academy of medical sciences (Beijing); chief scientist of JOINN Laboratories; famous drug toxicologist; and one blazers of China's drug safety evaluation of the quality system, Peizhong Li, at the age of 78, died at the PLA General Hospital at 15:25 on May 4, 2014.

Dr. Peizhong Li has been engaged in the research of military medicine and drug toxicology for a long time. Especially since the reform and opening up, he has enriched the thoughts and methods of new drug evaluation in China with his excellent knowledge, and promoted the rapid development of drug safety evaluation in China with a spirit of forging ahead. He has made outstanding contributions to the development of drug toxicology, the construction of drug safety evaluation management system and personnel training.

In order to show respect and condolences to Dr. Peizhong Li, we hereby announce that a farewell ceremony will be held at 8:00 a.m. on May 8 at the LAN Hall of Babaoshan Auditorium, Beijing.
